Loyal Heights chooses to throw an auction each year because we believe in FUNdraising in addition to fundraising! 

Ideally, fundraising would not be necessary, and all Washington children would receive a fully funded public education.  Unfortunately, that is just not the case. In recent years, overall state funding for education has decreased from 50% down to 42%. With limited funding, the district has implemented an equity-tiered model to ensure that children/schools with a greater need receive more funding. As a result of the LHE economic make-up and test scores, we are in the bottom 20% of this funding model.

Your fundraising dollars pay for essential services including all LHE tutors, the math Instructional Assistant, a portion ofoffice staff, curriculum, family events such as Harvest Night, Math & Literacy nights, and the family dance, special education and neurodiversity programs, equity events, scholarships for field trips and activities, family supports, $500 in discretionary funds for each teacher, and much more!
